“In the face of adversity, unity wins,” said a statement from the US Embassy, ​​which described the meeting in Galatia as a “decisive meeting” where Romania, Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, the European Commission and the United States of America will “join forces” after Russia’s “hard” withdrawal from the agreement, which allowed the safe transportation of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.

“We condemn the Kremlin for turning food into a weapon and endangering global food security,” the US embassy said in a statement.

The purpose of this meeting in Galata is “close coordination for the continuation of exports,” the American embassy said in a statement.

“Despite Russia’s ruthless destruction of Ukrainian port infrastructure and grain warehouses, we remain committed to ensuring uninterrupted Ukrainian grain exports to meet world demand,” the statement said.

One of the set goals is the improvement of alternative routes for the continuation of Ukrainian exports. “Working together, we are determined to strengthen and diversify alternative grain export routes by rail, road and sea, ensuring Ukraine’s important role in the global food market,” the US statement said.

Washington promises Kyiv to “continue support and assistance,” and to Romania it expresses “sincere thanks” for “unwavering efforts to support the export of Ukrainian grain,” which, by the way, is one of the items on the agenda of the meeting in Galata. , in which representatives of the European Commission also participate.

“The United States remains firmly with Ukraine, pledging continued support and assistance to help Ukraine overcome challenges and promote prosperity in the region,” the statement said.
