Republican Donald Trump accused his Democratic rival Joe Biden on Tuesday of obstructing his campaign, urging prosecutors to indict him despite promises of independence from the US Justice Department, AFP reported.
“I’m suing in the middle of a campaign that I’m going to win myself, but it’s forcing me to spend time and money on things that have nothing to do with the campaign,” the former president told supporters in New Hampshire. .
Donald Trump has been impeached three times over the course of several months in different cases.
The 70-year-old man is accused of election manipulation during the 2020 presidential election, careless handling of confidential documents and suspicious payments to a former porn actress.
The fourth impeachment?
The former president has pleaded not guilty to all of these cases, which he describes as a “witch hunt” under the leadership of the Biden administration.
At a rally in New Hampshire on Tuesday, he suggested that multiple court hearings in the coming months related to the cases could prevent him from being on the field.
“I wouldn’t be able to go to Iowa or New Hampshire today because I’d be sitting in a courtroom with a prosecutor who would charge me with some shit,” he imagined.
President Joe Biden has avoided commenting on his opponent’s legal troubles so as not to fuel accusations of manipulating the judicial system.
Donald Trump also hinted that a fourth impeachment could be announced “next week.”
This could be due to electoral pressure on the official in Georgia after the 2020 presidential elections.
