Tiraspol “Sheriff” managed to bounce back after losing to “Farul” in “Ovidiu” (1:0), and the champion of the Republic of Moldova advanced to the second preliminary round of the Champions League. With the home score 3-0 (after extra time), coach Roberto Bordin explained the difference.

Bordin, 58, praised Hagi but said Sheriff had the upper hand in midfield and deserved to win.

It was a tiring match, we spent our energy, but finished well. We are enjoying this great victory. I modified as I went, tried different mods, it ended up being pretty good, even if in extra innings.

But it was a well-deserved victory. Maybe we could have created an extra goal, yes. Our fans were great, every moment of the game, they helped us a lot.

We made the difference in the middle, tried to defend well, then scored the first goal. We had the advantage and led the game in their midfield, we were aggressive all game.
