Right Russia party leader Sergei Mironov said on Monday that Moscow should respond to the Crimean bridge incident by withdrawing from the extension of the Black Sea grain export agreement, which expires at midnight, Reuters and Agerpres reported.

On Monday, as a result of explosions on the bridge to the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea, annexed by Russia in 2014, two men were killed and their daughter was injured.

Mironov argued that Russia should destroy Ukraine’s infrastructure: “That’s what we should be doing, not negotiating a grain deal that helps the leaders in Kyiv and their Western masters line their pockets. There can be no grain agreement after another terrorist attack.”

A year ago, Russia accepted an agreement – through the mediation of the UN and Turkey – which allowed to resume the export of grain from Ukraine by sea, from the Black Sea ports.

The agreement is valid until Monday, and Moscow has hinted several times that it may not extend it.

Currently, the Kremlin does not comment on the incident on the bridge and the possible consequences of the agreement.
