The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued a yellow code warning for heat wave, heat wave, severe temperature discomfort in effect on Sunday in the counties of Satu Mare, Salaj, Bihor, Cluj, Alba, Sibiu, Hunedoara, Arad, Timis, Karash -Severyn, Mehedinci, Gorj, Dolj, Vilca, Arges, Olt, Teleorman, Dambovitsa, Prahova, Giurgiu, Buzeu, Vranca, Galati, Braila, Ialomica, Calaras, Constanta, Tulcea and in the municipality of Bucharest.
“On Sunday (July 16), the heat will intensify, it will be hot in the west, south, southeast and in places in the center. Thermal discomfort will be high, and the temperature and humidity index (ITU) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. The maximum temperature will be from 33 to 37 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature will be from 17 to 25 degrees Celsius,” meteorologists said.
Yellow code warning: heat wave, heat wave, severe temperature discomfort will be in effect on Monday in the counties of Satu Mare, Maramures, Salaj, Bistrita Neceud, Cluj, Alba, Hunedoara, Sibiu, Brasov, Covasna, Harghita, Mureş, Suceava, Botosani , Iasi, Neamts, Bacau, Vaslui, Constanta, Tulcea and in the mountainous area of the districts of Karash-Severin, Gorzh, Vilca, Arjes, Dambovitsa, Prahova, Buzeu and Vranca.
“On Monday (July 17), the heat will continue to intensify, it will be hot in all plain and plateau areas. Thermal discomfort will be high, and the temperature and humidity index (ITU) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. The maximum air temperature in general will be from 33 to 37 degrees Celsius, the minimum from 17 to 23 degrees Celsius,” the National Academy of Sciences reported.
On Monday, the orange code for persistent heat wave, heat wave and severe temperature discomfort will be in effect in the districts of Bihor, Arad, Timis, Karash-Severin, Mehedinci, Gorzh, Dolj, Vilca, Arjes, Olt, Teleorman, Dambovitsa, Giurgiu, Prahova, Buzeu , Vranca, Galati, Braila, Ialomica, Calaras and in Bucharest.
So, on Monday, the heat will persist, and the heat will intensify in Krishan, Banat, Oltenia, Muntenia and in the south of Moldova. The maximum temperature in general will be 37…39 degrees, thermal discomfort will be intensified, and the temperature-humidity regime indicator (ITU) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. The minimum temperature will be from 18 to 24 degrees.
The heat wave and thermal discomfort will persist on Tuesday in the western, southern and southeastern regions, and on Wednesday and Thursday in the southern half of the territory.
