But who are the victims of such (ironically and antinomically named) “shelters” or “homes” for the elderly, for the physically and mentally challenged, for the economically poor, for abandoned or lonely people? Who benefits from the torture and death provided by neglect, starvation, systematic physical beatings, humiliation, verbal abuse, physical and mental humiliation, induced diseases, germs and parasites that are encouraged (not just allowed) to painfully kill them? Who are those abandoned for weeks and months in excrement, wounds, ulcers? None other than – quite possibly – our parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts, brothers and sisters!

Parents, grandparents, relatives, brothers and sisters of anyone in this society – regardless of the vagaries of genetic, medical, family, civil, social fate. They are all “ours,” or at least could very easily be our relatives, because, unlike us, only nanometric and nanogram mutations or genetic, in-hospital, or domestic accidents can cause their widowhood, loneliness, alienation, abandonment, illusion . refugees to some kind, dignified and peaceful shelter. The barely alive victims we hear about and see in the media, ignored by the authorities and superiors, could be any of us. Because no one is free not only from the known drama, more or less “chosen”, but also from the unpredictable dramas that attack not the famous guilty or sick people, but very easily possible anyone, who can be even you, me, him , she, we

On the other hand, what is or are institutions whose ownership or management have fallen into the hands of our fellow human beings (all possible parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters) who have nothing but power, hatred, greed and a sadistic desire for monetary gain ? The facilities were probably not mistakenly intended to be concentration and extermination camps from the start, but they became just that because of the lack of any moral qualms. Or maybe, simply because of moral decay, because of a sick urge to acquire, possess, expand, accumulate, personal, family, clan, camarilla, mafia avarice. The state and laws punish only the trade in young animals. However, there is also a trade in old flesh, flourishing, killing, while the exploitation of old age and death is profitable.

If during the outbreak of the war for Ukraine we were all incredibly united, if during the tragedy of the “Kolkhoz” we all went into a frenzy of involvement, rebellion, demanding justice and especially punishments (that’s right, except for the honest crowd), different struggles and political interests know effective intervention), we must now realize that even in these heinous cases we still have a kind of “Collective”. Really different from Auschwitz. It is about our people, who were going to be killed by negligence, caused by road accidents, bribes, delays and corrupt devices. The 100 interned in the respective penal camps near Bucharest were not corpses pulled from the dirty basements at once by the bucket of Nazi excavators; but they had to stand, only removed one by one, inconspicuously, in escorted cars or ambulances. Because they were quickly replaced by another 1-2-3 new “candidates” for destruction. Still being transported by state machines, with the help of state institutions, from other places to be brought there or to other such camps, to be killed slowly, with veiled sadism, but with maximum cynicism, without any human (or at least animal) ) mercy.

Let’s think and develop actions that will eliminate (or at least drastically reduce) the chance that, on the one hand, like you and me, seemingly innocent businessmen and entrepreneurs, may choose out of selfishness and greed to become direct or mediated executioners.
