While many expected Lionel Messi to return to Barcelona this summer after parting ways with PSG, the Argentine has decided to sign for Inter Miami.

Argentina world champion Messi also had a huge offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, a team ready to offer him more than €300 million over two years of his contract.

Leo chose the Major League Soccer version, namely Inter Miami, the last-place team in the series.

At Inter Miami, Messi would earn around $60 million a year and work with former Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets.

The long-awaited moment has arrived. Lionel Messi will be officially introduced to Inter Miami at an event to be held at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, North Miami.

The ceremony is scheduled for July 16.

“The event will include entertainment, speeches from the club’s management and much more.” – says the club’s official press release.
