The Young Mayors Network said it does not know of any other refugee who arrived in Germany in 2015 and who is currently the mayor of a German municipality.

According to the Municipal Association of Baden-Württemberg, no person with Syrian roots has ever run for mayor of this German state. (Agerpress)
