
The Metropolitan City Hall will build an integrated waste collection center at the expense of voluntary contributions, Mayor Nikushor Dan announced. The center will be built at 22-28 Rudeni Street – Citila, and Bucharest residents will be able to take there things they no longer need, from pets to used tires and old furniture, for free.
- “As the president of the Intercommunal Development Association for the Integrated Management of Municipal Waste in the City of Bucharest (ADIGIDMB), I signed an agreement with the Ministry of Environment to finance the creation and provision of an integrated collection center through voluntary contributions from Bucharest-North and the surrounding Ilfov region.
- Thus, in this collection center, which will be established at 22-28 Rudeni – Citila Street, people from Bucharest and Ilfov County will be able to bring bulky waste, including used tires or furniture, electrical and electronic equipment waste, construction waste and demolition waste, sanitary -hygienic items, paint packaging, disinfectants, spray tubes, textile materials, plastic, as well as recyclable waste – paper, cardboard, PET,” said Nikushor Dan on his Facebook page.
Waste will be accepted free of charge within reasonable volumes, which will be established later by resolution.
The construction of the integrated waste collection center will cost EUR 5,580,000 excluding VAT with PNRR funds. Work completion date: until the end of 2024.
