The secretary plans to launch a project to create an agency called the Office of Joint Management of Insider Threats and Cyber ​​Capabilities to “enhance threat monitoring across all networks” of the Pentagon.

He also wants to “immediately improve the tracking and control of top secret information” and strengthen defenses of the Defense Department’s “classified data.”

Jack Teixeira, 21, a National Guard recruit, was arrested in April and charged with leaking classified documents online, including one about the war in Ukraine.
