Sunday brought disappointing results for Romanian teams in meetings abroad. After the first defeat with a score of 5:0, the champion of Romania scored three goals in the second meeting.

U Craiova 1948, defeated 7-2 by second team FC Koln

Without a head coach on the bench following the surprise departure of Joao Janeiro, Craiova 1948 were outclassed by German second-tier Köln, who finished 14th in Germany’s fourth division last season.

After the first half 4:1, in the second half the Germans scored three more times. The goals for Olten were scored by Beten and Sidibe.

Warta Poznań (Poland) – Farul Konstanza 3-0

Without the most important players on the field, “Farul” categorically lost the game against “Banik Ostava” with a score of 5:0 on Sunday morning.

In the afternoon’s other game, the Romanian champions also went down 3-0 to Poznań Varta, despite having Ioani, Boli, Nedelku, Artean or Enes Sali in the starting line-up.

Also on Sunday, Dynamo Bucharest lost the control match against Zalaegrsheg (9th place in Hungary last season) 1-0 after a late goal.

Ocellul Galac were the only Romanian team to remain unbeaten after the Whites drew in the company of Slovenia’s Maribor.
