A video from the Chisinau airport appeared on social networks, where the police tried to detain the aggressor.

Gunshots and voices can be heard in the background, but the footage reveals little about the incident.

Fighters of the FULGER special purpose police brigade managed to destroy the aggressor who recently killed two people at Chisinau International Airport. The dead are a border guard and an employee of the airport security service.

Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Rechan said that the attacker is a 43-year-old citizen of Tajikistan, who was banned from entering the Republic of Moldova for security reasons.

“During the escort to the sterile zone for repatriation, he fatally wounded a border guard and an airport security officer with a weapon stolen from a border guard. Another person – a passenger – was injured and is under the supervision of doctors,” Rechan wrote on Facebook.
