Horizontal marks on his skin were seen earlier this week and again on Wednesday by reporters following the US president.

The 80-year-old Democrat uses a therapeutic device to treat sleep apnea, according to the president’s deputy press secretary, Andrew Bates.
These masks, sometimes used to prevent snoring, have rubber bands to hold the device around the nose.
Joe Biden has “disclosed his history of sleep apnea in multiple medical reports” since 2008, Bates added.
“He was using a CPAP machine last night, which is typical for people with these problems,” the spokesman said.
Born in 1942, Joe Biden is the oldest sitting US president and his health is in the spotlight. If he is re-elected in 2024, he would be 86 years old at the end of his second term.
