Coco Gauff will train Pere Rib
The 19-year-old announced before the tournament in Stuttgart (April) that she will no longer work with Moyano, a technician who has faced some personal problems.
At Roland Garros, Coco was coached by Patrick Muratoglu, but will now be coached by Pere Riba, a former Spanish tennis player.
Ryba’s highest ATP ranking was 65th (May 2011), his last match was in 2019.
The Catalan also coached Qinwen Zheng (24 WTA) and Arantsa Rus (85 WTA) in the WTA circuit.
The partnership between Gauff and Riba will begin at Eastbourne (WTA 500), the final tournament in preparation for Wimbledon (July 3-16), MARCA reports.
Coco (5th favorite) will meet American Bernarda Pera (27th WTA) in the first round.
