After Vlad Daskalu won the cross-country gold medal earlier, Claudia Bobocea won the gold medal in the 1500 meters at the European Games in Krakow after completing the first division of the European Team Championships.
In Division 2, Claudia Bobochea won the 1,500 meters with a time of 4 minutes, 8 seconds, and 68 hundredths.
The time of the Romanian exceeded the time of the Iberian Esther Guerrero, who finished in the first division with a result of 4 minutes 11 seconds and 77 hundredths.
Also on Sunday, Daniela Stanciu won a silver medal in the high jump. With a result of 1.94 meters, Stanchu became the second in Division 2 after Ukrainian Yaroslava Maguchih (1.97 meters). In Division 1, the event was won by France’s Naval Meniker, who cleared 1.92 meters and thus won bronze.
