David Popovich continues his preparations for the World Championship in Fukuoka.

The CS Dinamo Bucharest-registered athlete won the 100m freestyle final of the Sette Colli Trophy swimming competition and finished in first place, managing to finish the race in 48.10 seconds.

Alessandro Miressi (48.26 seconds) and Matthew Richards (46.28 seconds) completed the podium.

On the same day, Andriy Angel took third place in the 50-meter backstroke.

The Romanian finished the race in 24.98 seconds. First place went to Thomas Ceccone, who completed the distance in 24.69 seconds, while Apostolos Christou finished second with a time of 24.92 seconds.
