​FC Hermannstadt announced on Friday the transfer of Valerik Geman, a defender who played for Romania’s first team at Euro 2016.

The contract signed by the 34-year-old defender is for one season.

Heman has 14 tackles in the Romanian national team, as well as 260 matches in the country’s first football league.

The player was the champion of Romania as part of Astra Giurgiu (season 2015-2016). Together with this team, he also won the Cup and the Romanian Super Cup.

In his past resume, Geman also has a Romanian Super Cup and plays for CS Universitatea Craiova.

Last season, Valerique played 19 matches in the Super League for Craiova, scoring twice and providing a decisive assist.

Throughout his career, Valerico Geman played for Universitat Craiova, Dynamo, Astra Giurgiu, Karabükspor, FCSB and Al-Shabab.
