“Romania is moving from deeds to words,” Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said Wednesday at a conference dedicated to the Neptun Deep project, developed by OMV Petrom and Romgaz. Later, in the transcript of the Prime Minister’s statement, the government corrected Cholak’s mistake.

  • “We have the experience and knowledge to become the most important producer of natural gas in the European Union. And this should be a real and permanent source of national pride.
  • There is another important point, Romania is moving from deeds to words. And I’m glad. It’s happening now. I think I said at the beginning that this mandate refers to concrete facts and economic achievements,” Prime Minister Marcel Čolaku said on Wednesday.

Later, in a transcript presented by the government, Prime Minister Cholak’s mistake was corrected.

The Neptun Deep project will produce first gas from the Black Sea in 2027, with projected production roughly 30 times the annual demand of 4.3 million households, OMV Petrom officials said. We will remind, the other day OMV Petrom and Romgaz approved the development plan for commercial natural gas fields Domino and Pelican Sud in the perimeter of Neptun Deep.
