Ludovic Orbán said he had always been “a supporter of cooperation with the USR” and that since 2016 he had been “systematically accused” by former PNL colleagues of never agreeing to respond to attacks coming from the USR.

• “Mr. Orbán and Drula are extremely concerned about my departure from USR and the political opinions I express (moderately and in a low voice, so as not to open a problematic discussion for them). I don’t think that they are worried about the collapse of the coalition and the exit to the applause of the government that was supposed to reform Romania.
• Both are struggling today with their own mistakes, which they try to blame on others, so as not to take responsibility for their own decisions.
• I made my mistakes too. But if Mr. Drula and Mr. Orbán don’t get their way, we won’t make any progress in restoring Romanian politics.
• The problem with the coalition with the NLP in 2020 was not that Ludovic Orbán was not a good prime minister. The problem was that Florin Tsitsu turned out to be as weak and problematic as Ludovic Orbán,” Cholos wrote on Facebook.

He claims that the fact that Ludovic Orbán is in the opposition today is not “a consequence of his beliefs, but of the political situation”: “If he got what he wanted, today Ludovic Orbán would not be so fierce and radical. I am tired of politicians who become fighters for opportunism.”

Cătălin Drula asked his colleagues at the USR Congress on Saturday to provide a mandate to create a political strategy for the current government and noted that the signal given is one of building around the USR.
