“The goal is that by the beginning of 2025, every worker in Romania will have a net minimum of 500 euros, an average salary of 1,000 euros,” the economy minister said on Thursday evening at the end of the first meeting of Colac. Government.
The minister clarified that every time the increase in the minimum wage was discussed, there was a question about whether SMEs would cope, but time has shown that they are, and “all economic indicators have increased.”
“Today, the business environment is well aware that maintaining a skilled workforce in Romania is one of the big challenges they face, and raising the minimum wage in the economy is one of the options,” the Minister of Economy also stated.
Radu Oprya also referred to the EU directive on raising the minimum wage.
