The Republican leader previously announced he would speak Tuesday night in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Trump, who will stand trial for misappropriation of state secrets after leaving the White House, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in his historic appearance in federal court in Miami.

“We certainly do not plead guilty,” his lawyer Todd Blanche said during the hearing, according to an AFP journalist.

This paves the way for a potentially very damaging process for his 2024 US presidential campaign.

Trump will not be handcuffed or jailed, but he will be fingerprinted and testify on 37 counts during a hearing scheduled for 3:00 p.m. local time (10:00 p.m. Romanian time).

Trump will not be photographed either, as he is considered a celebrity.

During the hearing, Trump will make a plea and discuss the terms of his temporary release. Potential restrictions on Trump’s conduct are also likely to be considered as the case progresses.

Tuesday’s proceedings will be overseen by a magistrate expected to be Jonathan Goodman, who is acting magistrate in Miami this week.

Trump’s attorneys, Chris Kies and Todd Blanche, are expected to appear with the former president during today’s hearing.
