Five workers were killed Saturday in an explosion at a Turkish explosives factory near the capital Ankara, the Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement, Reuters reports.

The explosion occurred at the MKE rocket and explosives factory about 40 km from Ankara. Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin told reporters that there were no more stranded workers waiting to be rescued or hospitalized.
