Detailing the role and involvement of the last six defendants (from the 7th to the 12th) in the murder of Alkis Campanos and in the wounding of two of his friends, the prosecutor of the United Jury Kyriaki Kliabas continues from the morning, already the third day of her announcement of the high-profile case.

• As for the 7th defendant, he said that he “was not a spectator” and that he “went to do his part and help in the taking of life”, while he called his defense allegations ignorant.
• The 8th defendant (as well as the 6th), at the suggestion of the prosecutor, did not reach the “battlefield”, because he did not have time. “The video shows that he was preparing to move to the scene of the murder. He may not have arrived, but his help is needed and decisive,” he said.
• With regard to the 9th defendant, who confessed to having a knife of the “Karabit” type, he stated that “he also put his little stone into the 40 second drama”, hitting Alki and his best friend. “He was not a spectator either,” Ms. Klyaba noted, adding that he had told “some truths” about his co-defendant. “He confessed to things that others didn’t have the courage to admit, he didn’t hide behind a finger,” he said.
• “With full awareness of his actions, he hit both Alki and two of his friends with a sickle,” Ms. Klyaba emphasized about the 10th defendant, whom she called a “samurai” in previous days. The scandalous episode “awakened in him memories of an insatiable hatred for an eternal rival,” he added.
• Among those actively involved in the murderous episode, the prosecutor placed the 11th defendant, who confessed that he was holding a stiletto, in the “frame”. “Mercilessly and barbarously weighed together with others, so that everyone would take their lives with their converging actions,” were the words of the prosecutor.
• Rejecting the 12th defendant’s assertion that he was a “taxi driver” simply transporting three of his co-defendants in his car, the prosecutor pointed out that “he was also there and stabbed with his own knife.” “He also contributed his “stone” to the execution of the plan to exterminate opponents,” he said characteristically, attributing to him an active and decisive role in the commission of the crime. He described it very smart and especially toughadding that his attitude in court was apathetic and he was imperturbable.

Commenting on the general attitude of 12 defendants in the courtroom, K. Klyamba stated that their silence was “deafening” and enlisted “monstrous lie” – not spontaneously, but pre-planned and designed, as he said.

Addressing the defendants, she stressed that “they did not score on the road, but scored 12 great own goals.”
