The 44-year-old designer Stefan Pelger was found hanged on Thursday in an apartment in the 2nd sector of the capital, the police and the prosecutor’s office opened an investigation. He recently wrote that he misses his father, who passed away in 2019, and has recently been dealing with chronic insomnia and episodes of depression.

“On June 8, 2023, the police officers of the Bucharest Municipality Police Headquarters – Section 8 received a notification via number 112 that a dead person was found in a house in Sector 2. The police went to the scene, as well as the medical team, which confirmed the death of the person,” the Metropolitan Police reported, clarifying that the investigation in this case was undertaken by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Bucharest Court and the Homicide Service.

According to court sources, the deceased is 44-year-old designer Stefan Pelger. He was found hanged in his home.

He recently wrote that he misses his father, who died in 2019, very much, writes News.ro. The designer also dealt with chronic insomnia and recently said: “Insomnia has left an imprint on all aspects of my life.” He also had episodes of depression.

In Cannes in 2018, Stefan Pelger was attacked and robbed by two women, and this fact deeply affected him. “I still love Cannes and I will come back here, but it will always be in my mind,” he said.

In an interview earlier this year, Stephan Pelger said he struggled with sleep and depression after the incident: “I couldn’t sleep at night for almost five years. I often have depression, and after the robbery, everything seemed to change in me. I try to fight every day, but it’s not easy.”

Stefan Pelger, born in Brasov and adopted by a German family, has collaborated with prestigious fashion houses, including Escada and Hugo Boss, according to stirilorprotv.ro.
