A 3-year-old child from Lupeni, Hunedoara district, who was with his parents near the block where he lives, was attacked by an Amstaff dog, which was considered dangerous, on Wednesday evening. The little one was bitten on the right leg, he was rushed to the hospital, News.ro reports. The owner of the animal said that it ran away from home by accident. The police opened criminal proceedings.

“Today, at around 21:00, the police of the municipality of Lupeni were alerted that a 3-year-old minor from Lupeni was allegedly attacked by a dog with morphological characteristics comparable to a dangerous breed, while who was next to one of his parents in the area of ​​the block where he lives. The minor in a stable condition was taken to the medical department for specialized care (with multiple superficial bites in the area of ​​the lower right limb),” IPJ Hunedoara reported.

According to the police, the first investigations show that the animal, which is currently in the owner’s house, was accidentally released from the apartment by the man who was looking after it (the father of the young woman – the owner of the house). dog).

The police opened criminal proceedings for failure to take measures to prevent a dog attack.
