
A Group Z police officer was seriously injured when he collided with a passing vehicle while chasing three people in western Thessaloniki. First he was taken to the 424th military hospital, and then to AHEPA with injuries to the ribs and lung, but nothing threatens his life.
It all started at midnight in Dendropotamos, when a two-wheeled policeman, together with a colleague, tried to check I.’s car, in which there were three people. However, the driver of the vehicle accelerated, resulting in a chase and injury to a police officer as a result of a traffic accident. The second policeman continued his pursuit and managed to immobilize I.Kh. and arrest three men. During the arrest, he was also wounded in the hand.
The Ampelokipi-Menemeni Security Department is conducting a preliminary investigation into the incident.
