The police authorities of Thessaloniki have launched an investigation into 13 cases of theft in areas of the municipality of Delta, including the theft of metal objects from OSE rails.

Police officers from the Delta Security Department were charged with thefts that took place over a five-year period, from February 2018 to mid-March 2023, a total of 15 people.

In particular, there was one theft of metal objects from the ECE rails, which were seized in full, two thefts of vehicles that were located and returned to their rightful owners, one attempted theft of a vehicle, two burglaries of cars, three burglaries of shops – enterprises, two thefts of pedestrians by hugging, illegal connection of the water supply of two houses with autonomous water supply of a kindergarten and the case of seizure of receipts, tobacco products and interception of customer card codes to redeem the corresponding amounts through the purchase of products.

In total, from the above thefts, a sum of money in the amount of 3,710 euros, consumables, household appliances, a gold cross with a gold chain, bank cards, personal documents and items, and tobacco products in the amount of 3,500 euros were seized.
