The bear, which appeared in several areas of the city of Brasov last week, including in the parking lot of a shopping center in the city, was caught on Monday morning. The animal was put to sleep after suffering serious injuries after falling from the first floor of a shopping center car park.

The bear, which appeared last week in the Recadeu area and on Calea Bucharest in Brasov municipality, was caught by the authorities on Monday morning.

According to the data provided by representatives of the Brasov City Hall, on Monday morning, around 4:30, the animal entered the parking lot of the shopping center, climbed to the first floor of the parking lot, and from there went to the balcony, and tried to escape, fell from a height.

The animal managed to escape and was caught by the intervention team on Roman Street in the municipality.

“Given the injuries he sustained, a decision was made to euthanize him. From the moment he entered the parking lot of the shopping center until the moment he was detained, he was watched by the intervention team, and he did not pose any danger to the residents of Brasov,” – said representatives of the local administration.
