“Living in a community and keeping that community strong is not an easy task. However, for us it is as natural as breathing: speaking Hungarian in our family and among friends, sending our children to schools with Hungarian education, reading in Hungarian and consuming Hungarian culture are part of our daily lives,” Kelemen Hunor wrote on Facebook on Sunday .

According to him, June 4, the Day of National Unity of Hungary, is a day to celebrate these ordinary, but still important events.

“Let’s be proud of ourselves, our community and our identity. We cannot rewrite the past and we do not want to. But we are all responsible for the future, for our future,” added Kelemen Hunor.
