The small community of the Podochori local community in the municipality of Pangaios, west of Kavala, is shocked by the violent death of a 68-year-old woman who was found dead on Friday afternoon near her sheepfold.

A forensic medical examination conducted on the body of the unfortunate in order to establish the exact causes of her death, showed the presence of extensive internal injuries inflicted by her killer.

Until now, police investigations have focused on people from the woman’s family in order to find the perpetrator.

A 68-year-old woman who married but had no children, according to her fellow villagers, was a very reserved person and very beloved in the society of a small village.
