The latest statistics published by Eurostat on the percentage of young people between the ages of 25 and 34 who have a higher education – any education after the twelfth grade – still put Romania in last place in the European Union. Thus, only 25% of young Romanians have a university degree, while the European average is 42%, with the highest percentages in Ireland (62%), Lithuania (58%), the Netherlands (56%), Sweden (52%) . , France (50%).
