Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitsyko announced the explosions in the Ukrainian capital, and on Friday morning an aviation alert was announced across Ukraine, CNN reports.
“There were explosions in the city. Air defense is working. Another wave of drones is coming to Kyiv,” Mayor Vitaly Klitsyko wrote in Telegram.
Earlier in the day, a little girl, her mother and another woman were killed in a Russian missile attack on Kyiv after what witnesses said was a bomb shelter they fled to failed to open, prompting local authorities to launch an investigation, and the case in the capital prompted the mayor of Lviv to order to check all the shelters of the largest city in the west of the country.
On the night from Thursday to Friday, according to preliminary information referred to by the Ukrainian mass media, the Ukrainian military detected and destroyed more than 30 air targets of various types in the airspace over and around Kyiv.
The attack was combined – drones and missiles at the same time. Launches were carried out from the Caspian region, and Kyiv was attacked from various directions by drones.
There is no information about the destruction and the victims, added the head of the KMVA of the Kyiv region.
