Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen delivered a speech in parliament on Wednesday, the first part of which was written by the artificial intelligence (AI) tool ChatGPT, to highlight the revolutionary aspect but also the risks of the technology, AFP reported.

The head of the Danish government, who made a speech on the occasion of closing the session of the parliament, believes that the talking robot developed by the OpenAI company is capable of creating an illusion.

“I did not write what I read. Or some other person,” Frederiksen suddenly told the deputies after the introduction.

“Although he failed each time both in the details of the Government’s work program and in punctuation (…), what he (ChatGPT) is able to do is both fascinating and horrifying,” she emphasized.

“THREATS WITH EXAMINATION”

ChatGPT is one of the latest examples of the impressive capabilities of artificial intelligence, which also raises concerns about the abuses that the technology allows, especially in terms of disinformation or mass replacement of people.

The topic is at the center of a high-level meeting on trade between the United States and the European Union (EU) in Luleå, Sweden, on Wednesday.

A group of business leaders and experts, including Sam Altman, who created ChatGPT, warned on Tuesday of the threat of the “extinction” of humanity posed by the development of the technology.

In the speech of the Prime Minister of Denmark, ChatGPT writes that “leading the enlarged government in the last parliamentary year was an honor and a challenge.”

“We have worked hard to cooperate between the parties and ensure a strong and sustainable future for Denmark.”

Or “we have taken action to fight climate change and ensure a fairer and more inclusive society where all citizens have equal opportunities.”

Or “we’ve worked to strengthen our health and social care systems so that all citizens can get the care they need.”

“While we have faced challenges and opposition along the way, I am proud of what we have achieved together in the past parliamentary year,” ChatGPT wrote.

“Penny”, who were usually assigned to write the prime minister’s speeches, did not comment on the quality of these products.
