The German manufacturer’s reserve driver, who left American team Haas last year after two seasons at Grand Circus, will test the single-seater Mercedes for tire manufacturer Pirelli at the Barcelona circuit.

Previously, Mick Schumacher sat behind the wheel of a single-seater Mercedes only in simulators.

Britain’s Lewis Hamilton, who holds the record for most F1 championships (seven, equal with his father Mick), and his compatriot George Russell are the two main Mercedes drivers and will compete at the same track in Barcelona this weekend, for the Spanish Grand Prix in Formula 1, writes Agerpres.
