
The Ministry of Education continues the registration of candidates for the June-July session of this year’s ZNO until June 9. The end of schooling for final year students will also be extended to this date. The Ministry notes that these changes will not in any way affect the calendar of tests for external examinations in 2023 and external examinations in 2023.
The Ministry of Education reports on Tuesday that “in order to support units of pre-university education in conducting separate events at the end of the academic year, aimed at graduates of the 12th day and 13th evening and shortened classes”, “Order of the Minister of Education No. 4.339/2023 for the implementation of ministerial order No. 3.505/2022 regarding the structure of the academic year 2022 – 2023 with further changes and additions.”
Thus, for the 12th day, 13th evening and reduced classes, school status of students can be completed by June 9, 2023This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Education.
Regarding the registration for the 2023 national baccalaureate exam, the Ministry of Education announces that it has “sent to the district/municipal school inspectorates of Bucharest by means of note 28.142/2023 information regarding the extension of the registration period for candidates for the June -July session of the 2023 ZNO until June 9, 2023 year”.
In conclusion, the Ministry of Education notes that these changes “do not in any way affect the calendar of performance of competence assessment tests or written tests of the 2023 ZNO or the calendar of performance of written tests of the National Assessment for VIII grade graduates.”

The 2023 undergraduate examination calendar was scheduled to begin on May 29 with the opening of candidate registration for the first session of the BAC, and the written tests from June 26. The final results of the first session of BAC 2023 will be announced on July 7. What is the new calendar:

National assessment calendar 2023
The 2023 national assessment for 8th graders will begin on June 19 with a Romanian language test. The first results will be announced on June 28, and the final results will be announced on July 4.
For 8th grade students, the academic year lasts 35 weeks and ends on June 9, 2023.

Grades V-VIII GPA will be removed from the calculation of the GPA for high school entrance, so the graduate ranking will be based only on GPA on the national assessment starting in the 2022-2023 school year.
