
A police check of a minor driver of a car in Rhodes on Monday night (29/5) almost turned into a tragedy.
According to the report, it all happened around 20:00, when the OPKE officers stopped a car driven by a 16-year-old boy to check on him. Then the driver started the engine and quickly tried to escape, dragging a slightly wounded police officer behind him.
Subsequently, the offender developed great speed and managed to escape, making dangerous maneuvers.
Following an investigation by EL.AS. The 16-year-old was identified and prosecuted for “inflicting dangerous bodily harm” and the car was near his home and confiscated.
