
Two criminal organizations involved in drug trafficking in various parts of Attica and Thessaloniki were liquidated by the security department of Laureotica.
Seven members of the organizations were arrested yesterday morning (May 25) during an organized police operation in Lavrio and Vrilissia, which was planned and implemented by the South East Attica Security Sub-Directorate.
These are four citizens aged 18, 19, 22 and 47, who are members of the first criminal organization, and three citizens aged 30, 31 and 58, who are members of the second criminal organization, against whom a criminal case has been initiated. for, as the case may be, violating the Drugs Act, the Weapons Act, and complicity theft. Other persons involved are being sought.
As a result of the investigation and cross-checking of information by the Lavreotica Security Department, the activities of the first criminal organization for drug trafficking in the Lavrio districts of Attica and Thessaloniki were identified with a validity period of at least November 2022.
During the preliminary investigation of the above-mentioned body, the activity of the second criminal organization, which supplied the first one with narcotic drugs on a large scale, was revealed. At the same time, members of the second group were engaged in the sale of drugs in the northern outskirts of Attica.
The two criminal organizations have jointly created the infrastructure and organization for their cooperation in the supply of drugs, having received an amount of money in excess of 160,000 euros.
During the searches carried out in their homes in Lavrion and Vrilissia, as well as in their property, a total of:
- 97.8 grams of cocaine,
- 11.6 grams heroin,
- 2 kg and 490 g raw hemp,
- 0.8 grams cannabis (chocolate)
- 11.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine,
- 3 homemade cannabis cigarettes
- 3 accurate electronic scales,
- 8 graters,
- lots of nylon bags,
- 3 iron fists
- 73 rounds,
- 21 mobile phones, -10 SIM cards and phone connection packages,
- 4935 euros,
- 2 cars and a motorcycle were used as means of drug trafficking.
In addition, a case of burglary from a house that took place in Lavrio on 01/23/2023 was solved, from where a safe with gold and a sum of money was seized. The perpetrators of the aforementioned burglary were found to be a 22-year-old member of a criminal organization and his accomplice, who are on the wanted list.
The detainees were taken to the criminal prosecutor’s office in Athens.
