A huge shawarma, prepared on Sunday in Ploiesti, reached 125 meters in length.
“Today, on the Ploiesti Municipality Day 2023, there was a mega-surprise for the gourmets of the city of Ploiesti! To mark this event, a giant shawarma was specially made in the street food area. As this year marks the 520th anniversary of Ploiesti’s documentary certification, the first 520 residents of Ploiesti were able to taste delicious culinary dishes for free,” says Ploiesti City Hall, organizer of Ploiesti City Days.
A team of chefs, coordinated by two professionals, worked on the preparation of shawarma. To prepare the dish, the chefs used 100 kilograms of meat, 50 kilograms of cabbage, 50 kilograms of potatoes, 50 kilograms of onions and the same amount of cucumbers, as well as 50 special sauces and about 6 kilograms of spices.
