“A total of 12 new Imperio trams manufactured by Astra Vagoane will be introduced on line 10 as they are delivered and received. This will increase the current transport capacity by approximately 15%, increase speed and save energy, and reduce waiting times at stations,” the mayor wrote on his Facebook.

Line 10 with its circular route is one of the longest and busiest lines in Bucharest and connects Banu Manta Boulevard and the Heroes of the Revolution district.

“Out of the total number of purchased 100 trams, 32 trams are already running on lines 41 and 25. We continue to modernize public transport in the capital to make it the most attractive option for citizens,” Nikushor Dan also said.
