Newcastle United won a very important match in the fight for places in the Champions League. In the final of the stage at number 25 in the Premier League, the formation, coached by Eddie Howe, surpassed Brighton with a score of 4-1.

Newcastle, important success with Brighton

Newcastle are continuing their exceptional season under Eddie Howe and have moved a step closer to the Champions League groups.

Kotofenele played another fantastic match at home and comprehensively defeated Brighton (4-1), a team that won convincingly at the Emirates against Arsenal.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 22nd minute of the game, when Deniz Undav scored in his own goal.

Dan Burn extended Newcastle’s lead in first-half stoppage time when he headed home Kieran Trippier’s cross.

In the second half, the German Undav reduced the difference (min. 51), but it was the only shot on goal for the visitors in the second half.

Callum Wilson made it 4-0 in the 90th minute with his 18th goal of the season and he was also on the verge of a fourth when he provided the decisive pass to Bruno Guimaraes (90+1 min).

With this result, Newcastle scores 69 points.
