In accordance with the Constitution, the State Council considered it to be recognition of the equivalence of the degrees of higher schools of art education, awarded before June 2003, and universities.
With Decision 922/2023 published today, Law 4481/2017 on the recognition of parity and the Joint Ministerial Decision of 2018, which specifies the conditions for recognition, are not considered to violate any constitutional provisions.
The request to abolish the specific KYA was submitted to the Council of Ministers five years ago by the Panhellenic Scientific Association of Theater Professionals.
The development was accepted with satisfaction by the representatives of the artistic sphere, since they believe that the landscape of art degrees awarded until 2003 is largely cleared up by a concrete decision of the Council of Ministers.
