A 34-year-old woman from Tirgu-Neamts was on the verge of death after giving birth at home by caesarean section, the operation was performed by her husband and mother-in-law using tools bought on the Internet. The incident comes days after the death of a 42-year-old woman in Germany who decided to give birth at home with the help of a “midwife” she found on Facebook, despite doctors warning her it was a high-risk pregnancy and recommending a caesarean section.

According to TVR and stirilorprotv.ro, the 34-year-old woman was in her fifth pregnancy, and the surgical intervention was performed at home by her husband, a former paramedic, who was assisted by her mother-in-law. The two “operated” on the woman and removed the fetus weighing 4.7 kilograms, but due to certain complications, the man had to call 112.

Doctors found the woman at home, conscious but bleeding profusely. Now she is in intensive care.

The emergency team also found at the scene scalpels, sterile dressings, forceps and other utensils necessary for such a surgical intervention, which the family had purchased online specifically to perform the operation, as they claimed in front of the doctors. to the news.
