PNL President Nicolae Chuke told liberals at an informal meeting in Vila Lac that he would admit any mistake during the government’s tenure, but he would never consider that he had mismanaged. He asked them to change their perspective on this process, called government rotation, liberal sources said, News.ro reported.

“I make any mistake during the government. But I will never think that I mismanaged. We ran a stable government for a year and a half, avoided a crisis and restored trust with external partners,” the PNL president told branch leaders who arrived in Bucharest for a party leadership meeting on Tuesday.

Chuke asked the Liberals to slightly change their perspective on the process, called government rotation. “Let’s think first of all about the public, the citizens of Romania and their expectations, and only then about our advantages as a party,” said the PNL president.

Nicolae Chuke also said that the government ring road is a “responsibility to the country”.

“What do we want to do? Do we enter the state project as the most consistent party that made the most difficult decisions in the history of Romania, or are we guided to take the ministries with the most money? Are we entering as a team or not?” the PNL leader also told the presidents of the organizations.
