All teams in France’s top two soccer leagues are wearing rainbow shirts this weekend as part of the annual “Gay or straight, we all wear the same shirts” campaign, but several Toulouse players have asked not to be associated with the league’s initiative. The French, writes Le Figaro.

La Dépêche mentions several names: Moussa Diarra, Zakaria Abuhlal, Said Hamulic, Fares Shaibi and Logan Costa (the latter denied this information by Le Parisien).

Donatien Gomis, the 28-year-old Senegalese defender of Guengama, decided to withdraw from Saturday’s Ligue 2 match against Sochaux in order not to take part in the campaign against homophobia.

Last year, another Senegalese international, Idrissa Gana Gueye, then a PSG midfielder who now plays for Everton, was already heavily suspected of pulling out of a match to avoid wearing a shirt.

He was summoned for an explanation by the National Council of Ethics (CNE) of the French Football Federation (FFF), a body that has no disciplinary powers but has received huge support in Senegal, writes News.ro.

T-shirts will be auctioned for the benefit of Foot Ensemble, PanamBoyz&Girlz United and SOS Homophobia associations.
