A selection of recordings of Zelenskyi’s speech was first published on Telegram and then went viral on social media after it was picked up by the Nexta TV channel, founded by Belarusian dissident Roman Protasevich.

The information circulating on social media is currently conflicting: some sources claim that in addition to some Russian cities, the message was broadcast in Simferopol, Crimea, while others claim that it was also heard in Ukrainian cities from territories that Vladimir Putin declared annexed last year.

Before the message from the President of Ukraine, the Russians heard the signal of an airstrike to draw their attention.

Zelensky’s message to the Russians

“To those who understand only Russian: if you want to live, run! If you want to live, give up! If you want to live, fight for freedom on your streets!” he urged.

The President of Ukraine also informed ordinary Russians that their troops had already taken everything possible from the occupied settlements and asked them not to enter Ukrainian territory, “into our soul and culture.”

After Zelenskyi’s message, the hackers broadcast “Red Viburnum” – a song that has become one of Ukraine’s military anthems and a symbol of Ukrainian resistance.

As you can see in the footage, some of the Russians look stunned by the incident, and in other footage the joy of the residents is visible, most likely these footage were shot in the occupied Ukrainian territories.

The website “Obozrevatel” notes that among the Russian cities where the message was broadcast, Abakan, Samara, Irkutsk, Moscow, Makhatsykala, Perm, Ramensk and others. The hackers delivered the message to Zelensky this Wednesday, a day after Russia celebrated “Victory Day.”
