Lancefish: Revealing the Mysteries of the Ocean Depths

A single species of fish that was relatively unknown to the scientific community. lancetfish (fish scalpel) washed away about a week ago along a coastline of about 322 km Oregonraising many questions about how fish living in the twilight zone (ie. mesopelagic zone), eventually found on the shore. With its scientific name derived from Greek, alepisaurus, i.e. a scaleless lizard, this particular species can exceed two meters in length and loves to swim more than a mile below the surface of the sea. The lancet fish also looks like it came from prehistoric times, as it has big teeth and huge eyes, and its body is long and its skin is slippery.

The fact that little is known about this lancet fish, as scientists don’t even know how it reproduces, leads to a specific fish is the focus of both experts and bathers, who will see such a strange and at the same time frightening creature near the shore.
