Recall that the prosecutor’s office opened a criminal case against him for the lethal exposure of a minor.

According to ERT, yesterday Thursday (November 5), the wife, at her request, met with the 37-year-old for about 15 minutes in the morning and later in the afternoon in a hospital room. According to people who were before the meeting, they saw the couple hugging and crying loudly. The unfortunate baby’s mother appears to have forgiven her husband’s tragic mistake and is determined to get through what’s next together.

The 37-year-old man seems to have given some explanations during the preliminary investigation, which he will tell the investigator in more detail today. In particular, as kathimerini.gr wrote yesterday, the child’s father reportedly told police that he left home on Tuesday morning with the intention of taking the child to nursery and then to work.

On the way, they called him and said that he had to go to Lefkada because of some kind of breakdown. After the phone call, he explained that his mind was “stuck” and he forgot his baby was in the back seat, so he drove to work and completely forgot about the baby.

So he arrived at work, parked and got into his company car to go to Lefkada. While he was in Lefkada, his wife called him, and then he remembered the child. It was then that the tragedy began to unfold with a well-known sequel.

The last act of the drama will be played on Saturday at noon in the village of Perdicorrachis in Arta. There will be a burial ceremony for a 5.5-month-old baby. The priest will read the wish, and the child will be given the name Lydia – Eleni.

Yesterday, passers-by left several flowers and a candle with the inscription “Happy journey, my angel” at the site of the death of a 5.5-month-old girl.
