“After the investigation, it was established that the minor’s father had an airsoft weapon at home (non-lethal and not subject to a permit), defective, recreational and without ammunition, which he did not secure properly, in violation of Article 61 of Law 295/2004. Thus, he was prosecuted for an offense under Art. 130, par. 1, summer d, from Law 295/2004, with a fine of 5,000 lei. At the same time, an additional sanction of seizure of weapons for confiscation was applied, in accordance with Art. 130, par. 2, let. c, from Law 295/2004”, announced IPJ Constanţa.

Constanta County School Inspectorate Sorin Mihai says a 7-year-old student brought a gun to the school yard Wednesday afternoon when he didn’t have lessons, wanted to play with other classmates, and it was taken away with his sports teacher and locked in an office. (…) Here is the problem of internal communication of the educational unit, which we will regulate. In this sense, there should be speed in the communication procedure and more attention to how they communicate with us so that we can support them,” said Sorin Mihai, as quoted by News.ro.
He clarified that there is no human security at the educational institution, only surveillance cameras.
Sorin Mihai added that the weapon was locked in a closet at the school.
- “The internal problem is related to the fact that other pedagogical workers who had knowledge did not provide information in a timely manner. You informed us today, also informed the police today to take action. (… ) The weapon was in the educational institution, it was locked in a closet. We are trying to find out more details,” Sorin Mihai also reported.
He also informed that the parents of this student gave consent for him to be consulted by specialists.
