
Returning to the tennis court for two months, the player who achieved the best results of Ukraine in the WTA tournament made another mistake. Elina Svitolina was eliminated in the first round of the “WTA 1000” tournament in Rome.

After being eliminated in the first round of the WTA tournament in Madrid, the former world No. 3 also leaves the tournament in Rome in the same phase of the competition.
The match lasted an hour and 37 minutes of play, and Svitolina lost in two sets to her compatriot Lesia Tsurenko (68 WTA) with a score of 6-4, 6-3.
Since her return, Elina Svitolina has had only one notable result, reaching the semi-finals of the ITF tournament in Saint Malo.
Although she missed the final act of the competition, Elina Svitolina made a huge leap up the rankings, starting from outside the top 1000 players and reaching the 540th position in the WTA rankings.
