
King Charles III was crowned on Saturday in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey. The Archbishop of Canterbury put on his head a crown of the 17th century, which belonged to St. Edward. Charles became the 40th sovereign to be crowned at Westminster Abbey, where the ceremony has been held since 1066.
The former Prince of Wales, who will now be assigned other duties, will probably no longer have time to come to Romania, as he has done for the past 25 years. Charles’ first visit to Transylvania took place in 1998, then in 2006, through his foundation, he bought a house in Viskra (Brasov County), which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, later converted into a boarding house.
